Jimmy Gardiner (footballer)

James 'Jimmy' Gardiner (born 6 November 1959 in Belfast, Northern Ireland) is a retired footballer and manager.

Biography

Jimmy played as a striker most notably for Crusaders (from 1990 to 1995, scoring 59 goals in 136 appearances), Glenavon, and Loughgall F.C., the latter of whom he was player-manager of from 2001 to 2006, and led to Premier Division football for the first time in their history, and also won the club's first ever senior trophy, the Mid-Ulster Cup, in 2003/04.[1] He is currently assistant manager at Annagh United.
