Jinusean (Korean: 지누션) is a South Korean hip hop duo from the YG Family. The duo is made up of Kim Jin-woo (김진우) and Noh Seung-hwan (노승환). It is one of the pioneers of hip hop music in the country and one of the first groups of YG Entertainment, along with 1TYM.

History

Sean

In 1994, Jinu debuted in South Korea as a solo artist with the song: "I Was the Captain". Yang Hyun-seok, former member of the Taiji Boys and the current CEO of YG Entertainment, heard about Jinu's fame and met up with him in Los Angeles to form the group Jinusean shortly after Sean joined. The duo aimed to combine English and Korean lyrics with hip hop and funk. Shortly after their creation, JinuSean finally debuted in 1997 with their debut single, "Gasoline." They gained enormous popularity from the public with their second single, "Tell Me" (feat. Uhm Jung Hwa), featured on their debut album.[1]
