Jitter chat

Jitter Chat was one among the first generation of teen-oriented online chat services. It was launched as part of a broader web presence in 1996, and is believed to have operated until the late 1990s (unverified). The site was launched by USPAN, Inc.

Jitter Chat used to be located at "jitter.com". Jitter Chat featured a unique pale purple background, private messaging, and click-to-refresh functions.

Many users, mainly from the U.S. and Canada, gathered to connect without ever meeting each other.
