João Emir Porto Pereira (Chinese: 利馬; born 17 March 1989 in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil), is a Brazilian footballer.
João Emir primarily plays as an central midfielder, but he also plays as a attacking midfielder.
Club career
South China
On 29 December 2011, South China announced that João Emir, alongside Dhiego Martins and Yeo Jee-Hoon, had joined the club.[1] He made his debut for South China on 4 February 2012 at Mong Kok Stadium, helping help the team secure a 4–2 win over Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei.[2]
On 23 March 2012, chairman Steven Lo confirmed that João Emir was ruled out for the season due to torn ligament.[3]
On 10 July 2012, chairman Steven Lo confirmed the departure of João Emirc due to contract problem with his previous club.[4]
Return to South China
On 31 May 2013, João Emir rejoined Hong Kong First Division League side South China.[5][6]
