Joe Forehand

Joe Forehand is former Chairman of the board and former CEO of Accenture.[1] He became CEO in November 1999, and chairman in February 2001.[2]

Forehand was born in Alexander City, Alabama and graduated in 1971 from Auburn University and is a brother of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Forehand received his MBA from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

In an Accenture internal memo and corresponding press release in April 2004, the Accenture board of directors announced that Forehand would relinquish the office of CEO in September 2004. William D. Green assumed the job of CEO effective that same month.

On February 15, 2006, Forehand announced that he will retire from Accenture - thus ending his term as Chairman and 33 years with the firm - in September of that year.

In October 2006, Forehand became a board member of Aricent, the communications software company.

Forehand is currently Chairman of the Board at First Data Corporation.[2]
