César Joel Valencia Castillo (born 16 November 1994) is an Ecuadorian footballer who plays for Slovenian club FC Koper as a winger.

Club career

Born in Quinindé, Esmeraldas, Valencia moved to Spain in 2002, aged 8. Three years later he joined Real Zaragoza's youth setup, after being spotted by local scouts.[1]

On 28 August 2011, while still a junior, Valencia made his first team – and La Liga – debut, coming on as a late substitute in a 0–6 home loss against Real Madrid.[2] He was later assigned to the reserves in Segunda División B.

On 21 January 2014, after being sparingly used, Valencia moved to another reserve team, joining Atlético Malagueño on loan until June.[3] On 28 August he rescinded his link with Zaragoza,[4] and joined UD Logroñés.[5]
