Jofegan, California is an abandoned settlement pre-dating the O'Neill Ranch at the center of the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in San Diego County, United States. It is adjacent to an out-of-use railroad to the West of Vandegrift Road, and South of Lake O'Neill. It has a long history that is celebrated each autumn during the Boy Scouts of America Orange County Council El Camino Real District and Tiburon District Camporall events at the Lake O'Neill Campground. Retired United States Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Shepard G. Bentley briefly opens "Café Jofegan" to serve the families of the visiting Marines, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts with Roast Beef au Jofegan, which is an original recipe that uses condiments, sauces, herbs and spices that celebrate the best culinary traditions and Western style of old Jofegan.
