Lake landscape with houses and figures by Johan Philip Korn
Johan Philip Korn, (1728–March 29, 1796) was a Swedish painter.
Korn began as a decorative painter, but after further studies changed to landscape painting, in the style of François Boucher. He painted usually in a small format, but also worked with decorative murals, door pieces, and more. Subjects are primarily idyllic landscapes, with moonlight, fires in a golden brown, and genre art with people going about their daily life. Korn's works are rarely signed, but always easily recognizable.
