Johann Konrad von Roggenbach
Johann Konrad von Roggenbach (1618–1693) was the Prince-Bishop of Basel from 1656 to 1693.[1]
Biography
Johann Konrad von Roggenbach was born in Rhein on December 15, 1618.[2] He was ordained as a priest on April 4, 1654.[2]
On December 22, 1656, the cathedral chapter of Basel Münster elected him to be the new Prince-Bishop of Basel.[2] Pope Alexander VII confirmed his appointment on January 13, 1658, and he was consecrated as a bishop by Federico Borromeo, on March 23, 1659.[2]
He died on July 13, 1693.[2]
