Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Johannes Streich (16 April 1891 – 20 August 1977) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded several divisions. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Johannes Streich was captured by the Western Allies in 1945 and was released in 1948.
