John A. Anderson (American football)

John A. Anderson (1933–1998) was a head football coach at both Middlebury College (1969–1972) and Brown University (1973–1983). Before becoming head coach at Middlebury he served as offensive line coach at Dartmouth and the defensive line coach at Boston College in 1968. In 1976 he led Brown to its first Ivy League conference championship. He left Brown in 1984 to work with the New England Institute of Technology in Florida.
