John W. Bandler (born 9 November 1941) is a professor,[1] engineer,[1] entrepreneur,[1] artist, speaker, playwright,[2][3] and author of fiction and nonfiction.
Born in Jerusalem, Bandler is known for his invention of space mapping[4][5][6][7][8][9][10] technology and his contributions to device modeling, computer-aided design, microwave engineering, mathematical optimization, and yield-driven design.[11] He has published more than 500 papers. Some of them are highly cited (see Google scholar citations).
In 2012, a special session at the IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium[12] paid tribute to Bandler on the occasion of his 70th birthday for more than forty-five years of contributions to the field of microwave theory and techniques. In 2013, Bandler reviewed the emergence and history of space mapping in IEEE Canadian Review.[13]
