John Barbour was a Scottish professional football inside right who played for Queen's Park, Dundee and Preston North End.[1][3]

Personal life

Barbour served as a lance corporal in the Highland Light Infantry during the First World War and was killed on the Somme on 15 July 1916.[4] He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.[2]
