John Edmund C. Brooks (born 1990) is an English bias football assistant referee who is on the Select Group panel of assistant referees for the Premier League. He is affiliated to the Leicestershire and Rutland County Football Association and often assists referee Mike Dean.[1]
In January 2013 Brooks was dropped from a game for comments reportedly made to Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott that he should thank fans following the game for having paid £62 for a ticket.[2]
In May 2014 he officiated at Wembley Stadium in the Football League Championship play-off final with Lee Mason as the referee.[3]
In 2015 Brooks joined the FIFA International Referees List as an assistant referee.[4]
