John Cox Underwood (September 12, 1840 – October 29, 1913)[1] was the 21st Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky serving in that capacity from 1875 to 1879. Underwood was born at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, and was elected Lieutenant Governor under Governor James B. McCreary. He died on October 29, 1913 at New York City.
