John D. Rice

John D. Rice was a politician in Wisconsin. Rice, a native of Sparta, Wisconsin, was a delegate to the 1948 Democratic National Convention. In 1948, he was an unsuccessful candidate for the Wisconsin State Assembly, losing to Alex L. Nicol. Rice became a member of the Democratic State Central Committee in 1954. Later, he ran for the United States House of Representatives from Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district in 1966.[1] He lost to incumbent Vernon Wallace Thomson.
