John Ferguson (New Brunswick politician)
John Ferguson (November 20, 1813 – August 21, 1888) was a merchant and political figure in New Brunswick, Canada. He was a member of the Legislative Council of New Brunswick from 1864 to 1867. Ferguson was called to the Senate of Canada for Bathurst division in 1867 and served until his death in 1888.
He was born in Ayrshire, Scotland, was educated there and came to Bathurst, New Brunswick in 1836. In 1847, Ferguson married Mary Munroe. He was lieutenant-colonel for the Gloucester County militia.
