John Ivision is a Scottish Canadian journalist. He is an Ottawa-based political columnist for the National Post.
Born in Dumfries, Scotland, he worked as a reporter for The Scotsman newspaper in Edinburgh. He moved to Canada in 1996, joining the Financial Post as a journalist, and eventually served as deputy editor.[1] The Financial Post folded into the National Post in 1998. After five years at the Financial Post, Ivison joined the National Post, where he covered provincial politics in Ontario. He currently covers Canadian federal politics for the National Post.[2]
He also appears as a panelist on various Canadian public affairs programmes, including the CBC News Network's Power & Politics with Rosemary Barton and Question Period on CTV.
