There has been some public media comment in the Antiguan national media concerning when these awards were granted to Petrie as no public statement has been issued to date by the Antiguan Government in this regard.[5] An enquiry purportedly under the Freedom of Information Act was made in January 2015 to the College of Arms in the UK seeking clarification on this matter but it has been clarified that the College of Arms is not subject to such requests.[7] It has been reported in the Antiguan media that Petrie has resigned or been removed from his post as adviser to Government House in 2016.[5]

Heraldry

In 2011 Allen-Petrie was unusually assigned three difference coats of arms under his birth name of Jean-Michel Pitre, as part of a series of grant of arms made by the Chief Herald of Canada for his father and both his maternal grandparents there by allowing him to incorporate all three into his own Coat of Arms.[8] A link to those arms can be found at the Canadian Heraldic Authority.[9]
