John Andreu Neeskens Ramírez (born 17 November 1993), known as John Neeskens, is a Spanish professional footballer who playes for American club LA Galaxy II as a defender.

Club career

Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Neeskens began playing football with local CF Damm, going on to have spells with Villarreal CF, UE Sant Andreu and CF Badalona. He moved to American club Colorado Rapids in 2014 and made his professional debut versus Chicago Fire on 5 June.[3]

He was released just before the start of the 2015 Major League Soccer season.[4] On 17 September 2015, Neeskens signed to the New York Cosmos's B-team.[5]

Personal life

Media outlets often erroneously report that John Neeskens is the son of former Dutch international Johan Neeskens, Johan Neeskens has stated via his personal website in November 2010 that John Neeskens is not his son.[6]
