John Robert Hoffman (most often known simply as John Hoffman) is an American actor/screenwriter. In addition to acting in films, television, and theatre, he wrote screenplays for films such as Indianapolis, Queen of the Jews, aka Queen Bess, and The Last of Sheila. He made his writing/directing debut with the 2003 MGM and Jim Henson Pictures film Good Boy!.
John Hoffman was also the Mad Hatter in Disney's 1991 children's live-action television series Adventures in Wonderland.
