John Stanhope (MP)

John Stanhope (5 January 1705 – 4 December 1748), British politician, was the third son of Philip Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Chesterfield and Elizabeth Saville.
He entered Parliament as Member of Parliament (MP) for Member for Nottingham in 1727. Later, in 1736, he succeeded his younger brother, Charles Stanhope, as Member for Derby.[1] He was appointed a Lord of the Admiralty in February 1748, but died in December of that year.
