John Stroud (born October 29, 1957) is a retired American basketball player who played four years at the University of Mississippi, before being drafted by the Houston Rockets in the 1980 NBA Draft. However, he played only one season in the NBA, appearing in 9 games total with the Rockets.
He is now a coach of his home town New Albany Bulldogs girls basketball team.
