Sir Thomas Jones

Sir John Thomas Jones (25 March 1783 – 25 February 1843) was knighted for services to engineering in 1838. He was also notable as an English amateur cricketer who made six first-class appearances.

Jones was born at Landguard Fort, Suffolk. His brother was Harry David Jones (1791–1866) who played in 1 match for Middlesex in 1826.

Career

Jones was mainly associated with Middlesex and he made 6 known appearances in first-class matches from 1814 to 1819.[1]

Sir Thomas Jones died at Pittville, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
