John Tanner (cricketer)
John Tanner (1772 – 23 March 1858) was an English amateur cricketer who made 53 known appearances in first-class cricket matches between 1796 and 1826. He died in Sutton, Surrey. Along with Charles Warren, he was the last 18th century player to leave the game.

Personal life
John Tanner lived at Sutton where he died, aged 86, but he was buried in the cemetery at Norwood.[1]
