Johnny Nellore (ജോണി നെല്ലൂ൪) (born 19 August 1951) is the Chairman of the Kerala Congress (Jacob), a splinter faction of the Kerala Congress. He was born on 19 August 1951. He is an advocate in Muvattupuzha Bar Association.

Career

Johny Nelloor was first elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly as an MLA from Muvattupuzha constituency in 1991, and remained as a member for a period of over fifteen years, representing Muvattupuzha constituency. He was elected 3 times from Muvattupuzha[clarification needed] and lost twice. He was elected from Muvattupuzha in 1991, 1996, 2001 respectively. He is the only person who elected from Muvattupuzha thrice in a continuous term. In 1991 he defeated Mr A.V Issac of CPI for a margin of 3711 votes,in 1996 P.M Thomas for a margin of 9696 votes and In 2001 George Kunnappily for a margin of 8893 votes. In 2011 he contested from Angamaly but failed to Mr. Jose Thettayil, former minister of Kerala. Now he is the state president of Ration Dealers Association and Chairman of Pharmaceutical Corporation Kerala Ltd (Oushadhi).

Personal life

Johny Nelloor is married to Chinnu(chinnamma) who is a house wife. The couple is blessed with a daughter Soumya and a son Sony.
