Jokha al-Harthi
Jokha al-Harthi is an Omani writer and academic. She was born in 1978 and educated in Oman and the UK. She obtained her PhD in classical Arabic literature from Edinburgh University. She is currently an associate professor in the Arabic department at Sultan Qaboos University.[1]
al-Harthi has published two collections of short stories and two novels (Manamat and Sayyidat el-Qamar), as of November 2011.[2] She has also authored academic works. Her work has been translated in English and German and published in Banipal magazine.[3] She was also one of eight participants in the 2011 IPAF Nadwa (writers' workshop).
