Joleen Lutz (born in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actress most famous for her role on Night Court [1][2] as stenographer Lisette Hocheiser in seasons 8 and 9 of the series. Lutz appeared on over 40 episodes of the show.[1]
Lutz had an early introduction to comedy. A rough upbringing with an alcoholic father led her to stand-up comedy where she would make jokes about her problems. She later became a cheerleader for the Chicago Bulls which led her to career in acting.[3]
In 1993, Lutz founded Winged Iguana, an animal advocacy organization, with her husband Danny Hart.[4][5] She has appeared as an animal expert on the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, MTV, and Animal Planet.[6]
