Jon Bisset

Jon Bisset is an Australian association executive.

Professional career

Bisset has worked in the nonprofit sector since 1988, since 1997 in senior executive roles.

Bisset is the former Chief Executive of the Public Relations Institute of Australia.[1]

Previously he held roles as the Chief Executive of the Council on the Ageing, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Fundraising Institute Australia, General Manager, Operations for Netball Australia and as the Chief Executive Officer of Australian Canoeing.

In 2000, he was the recipient of an Australian Sports Medal for his contribution to sport.

Bisset was Competition Director and Technical Organiser for the World Canoe Polo Championships in Adelaide in 1996, Technical Organiser for the 1998 World Canoe Polo Championships in Portugal, Chief Official for the 2000 World Championships in Brazil and the 2004 World Championships in Japan and Chief Scrutineer for the 2002 World Championships in Germany. He was a member of the International Canoe Federation Canoe Polo Committee from 1996 to 2006.
