Jon Morris (born May 6, 1966 in Lowell, Massachusetts and raised in Chelmsford, Massachusetts) is an American retired ice hockey center.[1]
Morris was chosen 86th overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 1984 NHL Draft after posting 81 points in 24 games for Chelmsford (MA) High School. He then spent four years at the University of Lowell and was placed on the Hockey East first all-star team in 1987.[1][2] After playing in four games with the Devils in 1988-89, he returned to the AHL's Utica Devils and played in 20 games with New Jersey the following season.[1] Morris was signed by the San Jose Sharks in March 1993, and the Boston Bruins acquired him in a trade that October. In 103 career NHL games from 1988–89 to 1993–94, he scored 16 goals and had 33 assists.[1]
