Jonathan Edward Hugh Sorrell (born August 1977) is the chief financial officer (CFO) and a director of the commodities trading hedge fund, Man Group, the world's largest publicly traded hedge fund.

Early life

Jonathan Sorrell was born in August 1977,[1] the son of advertising mogul Sir Martin Sorrell. He attended the University of Cambridge from where he graduated with a degree in law.[2]

Career

Sorrell worked as an investment banker with Goldman Sachs, as did his brothers Mark and Robert, before joining Man group in 2011 as head of strategy and corporate finance. In 2012 he became chief financial officer.[3][4][5]

Appointments

Jonathan Sorrell is chairman of the board of governors of The Granville School in Sevenoaks, Kent, an independent preparatory school,[6] and a director of The Ena Makin Educational Trust which runs the school.[7]
