José Luis Gómez Pérez (born 10 June 1987), commonly known as Joselu, is a Spanish footballer who plays for Racing de Ferrol as a striker.

Club career

Born in Ribeira, Galicia, Joselu finished his formation with Celta de Vigo's youth setup, and made his senior debuts with the reserves in the 2004–05 season, in Segunda División B. On 23 August 2008 he moved to Lorca Deportiva CF, also in the third level.[1]

After being sparingly used by the Murcian club, Joselu joined Tercera División side CF Reus Deportiu in January 2009.[2] In July he remained in the category, signing with CD Teruel.[3]

In July 2010, Joselu rescinded his contract with the Aragonese and moved to CCD Cerceda in his native region, also in the fourth level.[4] Two years later he joined neighbouring SD Compostela, after scoring 20 goals in a sole season.[5]

Joselu netted 25 times in his debut campaign at Compos (which also finished in promotion), and after scoring a further 30 in his second, he was linked to La Liga side UD Almería,[6] but signed a three-year deal with Racing de Ferrol also in the third division, on 5 July 2014.[7]
