Joe Bowers was a professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s, playing at representative level for Great Britain and at club level for Rochdale Hornets, as a Prop, i.e. number 8 or 10, during the era of contested scrums.
Bowers was selected to go on the 1920 Great Britain Lions tour of Australasia. He won a cap for Great Britain against New Zealand.[1]
