Joseph C. Papa (born 1955/56) is an American businessman, the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Valeant Pharmaceuticals from 2 May 2016, at an annual salary of US$67.4 million,[2] succeeding J. Michael Pearson.[3]
Papa has a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Connecticut in 1978 and an MBA degree in Marketing and Finance from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1983.[1]
Prior to joining Valeant, Papa was the chairman and CEO of Perrigo.[4]
If Valeant's shares ever reach $270 again, Papa will receive $500 million.[5]
