Aesthetic

Joseph Dirant splits of the taste by the noble materials and the simplicity of lines ("The wood has a lot of movement", says Dirand).[10] For Dirand, all the other is superfluo, by what looks for small details that give life to the interior, playing with the contrasts of colour, the illumination, the materials and the optical effects.[11]

Combining minimalism in the elements, classical elegance, natural abstemiousness and purification in the forms, Joseph Dirand designs his projects like independent plots, like outlines where imagines a future inhabited. The order, the light, the proportion and the skill in the lines, already are curves or perpendiculars, are the signals of identity of the architect and designer of interiors. They stand out in his interiorismo the predominance of the white and the black, a taut architecture that likes to contrast scales and periods and reveals a telluric sense of the surroundings. Dirand Admires to the big architects of the 20th century, like Scarpa, Aalto, Jeanneret or Him Corbusier.[12][13] His pieces, custom-made, are elaborated manually in the Ateliers Saint-Jacques.[14]
