Joseph Villeneuve de Janti

Joseph Théodore Villeneuve de Janti (21 June 1868 – 7 June 1944) Was a French entomologist who specialised in Diptera .[1]

He worked at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle in the same city.As well as naming many new taxa Villeneuve made many significant contributions to medical entomology. He was a Member of the Société entomologique de France.
