Jost Trier

Jost Trier (December 15, 1894 in Schlitz, Hesse – September 15, 1970 in Bad Salzuflen) was a German Germanic linguist and (Medievalist).

He taught as a professor at Münster University since 1932. In 1968 he was awarded the Konrad-Duden-Preis. He developed the lexical field theory.
