History
Journyx was founded in 1996.[1] The company has been credited with creating the first commercially supported web-based timesheet[2] system for the collection of time, expense and mileage data. In 1998, Journyx made the solution available in the cloud (which, at that time, was called an ASP[3] offering). Journyx also provisioned a free, downloadable version for small organizations with 10 or fewer users.[4] Journyx is the creator of the P5 Protocol,[5] or the concept of Per-Person Per-Project Profitability, and is SAS 70 (now SSAE 16[6][7]) certified.
The CEO and founder of Journyx is Curt Finch.
Software
Journyx's product suite includes Journyx,[8] Journyx PX,[9] Accountlink for Dynamics,[10] Accountlink for Quickbooks,[11] Projectlink[12] and Reportlink.[13]
Journyx, considered the company's flagship product, is a web-based[14] employee time tracking software solution for automating payroll, billing, project accounting and project management.[15] The product integrates with QuickBooks, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Dynamics and a number of other systems in order to facilitate business processes.[16]
Journyx PX is a resource management solution that integrates with Microsoft Project planning capabilities. It tracks actual work effort and project costs, and enables effective project resource allocation.[17] It integrates project plans, resource availability and financials into a single system.[18]
The products are available for local installation, or access as a cloud-based subscription service (SaaS).[19]
Compliance
Journyx complies with the Service Organization Controls (SOC) Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements 16 (SSAE 16) and the Safe Harbor privacy framework.
Journyx software helps companies to comply with the The Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements.
