Juan Carlos Alvarado (born December 28, 1968 in Guatemala) is a Christian pop singer, known for songs such as: Cristo no está muerto, El borde de su manto, No Basta, Vivo para Cristo,"Soy deudor", "Santo es el Señor", and among others.
In 1987, musician, songwriter, singer, author, speaker and pastor, Alvarado, was the worship band director of Palabra en Accion, recorded his first album, Digno de alabar. Today he has recorded more than 18 albums that are available on cassette, CD, and DVDs. He has sold over 10,000,000 copies of his records in Mexico, the United States and Latin America. In 1992 Alvarado recorded his first "Live" album as a singer, entitled Aviva el fuego. A year later Alvarado recorded Lion of Juda in Spanish under Word Records, an American label; more than 7,000 attended this spectacular event to praise and worship the Lord.
After the blessing achieved by the production Aviva el Fuego, Hosanna Integrity and Canzion Productions worked together with Alvarado to produce Glorificate and Tu Palabra consecutively in 1993 been this projects best sellers. In 1995 Alvarado celebrated his 10th anniversary and produced one of the most acclaimed albums: "Hoy mas que ayer" been this one of the best sellers album in Spanish with Word Music. Since those years Alvarado has been recording many projects like "FUEGO en vivo" and "Tu palabra cantaré" Recently Alvarado travels all over Latin America and the world teaching leaders and musicians to go back to the roots of the Bible on praise and worship. He loves the Bible.
Early life
As a child, Alvarado had a passion for singing and playing the piano.[1] As a teenager, he played in a secular rock band which was very popular in those years.
Personal life
Alvarado's personal life with God started in the early 1980s when, at age 21, he became the worship band director of Palabra en Accion. Alvarado is divorced of Patricia, with her has two sons and a daughter that reside in Canada. His son Buddy, is also a songwriter. Right now, Alvarado is married to Jennifer Alvarado. Juan met her first wife in Palabra en Accion.
