Jugend- und Auszubildendenvertretung
Jugend- und Auszubildendenvertretung - Youth and Trainees council
Worker's representation in Germany according to the BetrVG— works constitution act.
The Jugend- und Auszubildendenvertretung (JAV) is the representation of all workers below the age of 18 and in-plant training employees (trainees, apprentices, working students) below the age of 25 within one company or plant. Therefore this group of people is entitled to vote.
To vote a JAV the existence of a Betriebsrat—the German equivalent of a worker's council—is required.
