Julian Hee (Chinese: 许立桦; pinyin: Xǔ Lìhuá, born 11 June 1978) is a Singaporean Chinese actor and model.
Career
Modeling
Hee was a model before entering the entertainment industry. He won Mr. Manhunt Singapore in 2002 and represented Singapore in Manhunt International 2002 held in Shanghai. He was a semi-finalist in Mister World 2003.
Acting
Hee was signed by MediaCorp and became a full-time actor. He made his television debut on the Channel 5 show Heartlanders (seasons 3 and 4) before switching to Channel 8 Chinese-language dramas. He was nominated for the Best Newcomer in the 2005 Star Awards and the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes the following year.
As Hee is bilingual he has acted in both English and Chinese dramas. One of his first major Channel 5 dramas after Heartlanders was Red Thread.[1]
Hee left MediaCorp and became a freelance actor in 2009 to concentrate on his business ventures.[2] His final drama as a MediaCorp artiste was the second season of Channel U series Perfect Cut.[3]
