This is a Korean name; the family name is Jung.

Jung In-Whan (Hangul: 정인환 born December 15, 1986) is a National South Korean football player who plays for FC Seoul as a center defender. Per his performance, Incheon United could make 'the Best Defense Team' by the record of 40 lost goals in the season 2012, even though the team could just made 'the Second Least Scoring Team' by the record of 46 scores. (He contributed 4 goals!) Now, he is one of the best defender in K-League and could be a leadership material for Korean Soccer. Currently, he is the center defender of South Korea, which made his re-debut game at the friendly match versus Zambia and played also in the Brazil World cup Qualification game versus Iran.

Career

Youth career

He started his youth career as the football player in Baeam Highschool placed in Yongin city. From the high school time, he selected for the U-20 team and appeared in AFC U-19 Championship in 2004 versus Thailand. He went to Yonsei University and was chosen to South Korea national under-20 football team.

K League Classic Career

In Year 2006, he was drafted first to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, and he got many spotlights from the media as the leadership material for the future soccer of Korea following Hong Myung-Bo or Choi Jin-Cheul who distinguished himself in 2002 FIFA World Cup. However, He checked by the opponent team intensively and major or minor injuries followed him. And then, he traded to Chunnam Dragons in order that Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors wanted to scout Kang Min-Soo. He became the main defender of Chunnam Dragons from year 2010. However, he once again traded to Incheon United in order that Incheon United needed to fortify the defense line. He inherited Number 20 from Lim Joong-Yong, the former legend defender and also the captain. He got many spotlights from the media and the fans, and started his growth to select as the national team center defender.

In year 2012, he got in bloom and prove it by receiving the award 'the Best Defender' in K-League. You could find him here, K-League Best XI. He is the only one who got the award from the low split(B) teams and by this fact, the award prove his value very well. Despite the inferior squad power, he made his success to defend the Incheon United's goalpost. In Aug, he was selected South Korea national football team and played well in the friendly match versus Zambia. After that, he led the defense line of the team and the team succeeded to raise its ranking from the degradation to the middle rank.

Henan Jianye

Jung was linked with Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng in February 2015.[3] However, he joined another Chinese Super League club Henan Jianye on 28 February.[4]

Playing style

He is very competitive in air ball control based his physical and natural born sense. He is also good at man-to-man defense and pretty aggressive in the set piece situation. In 2012 in particular, he improved his passing skills.
