Junior Bake Off is a British TV baking competition series, presented by Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes, where thirty two young bakers tackle a series of baking challenges including the art of baking cakes, biscuits, bread and pastries all competing to be crowned "Junior Bake Off Champion".

It is a spin-off from the main series, The Great British Bake Off and is broadcast on CBBC. Currently it takes place in odd numbered years alternately with Junior MasterChef, which is broadcast on the same channel in even numbered years.

Finals

Episode 11

The four finalists are first given a masterclass; in the masterclass they learn how to decorate shortbread and cupcakes to a professional standard. They are then split into two teams; they must prepare afternoon tea for judges Mary, Paul and Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux Junior.

Episode 12

In this episode the four finalists are put on the spot with a knowledge test, a series of difficult questions and practical challenges. They are split into two teams where they must work together to bake for a glamorous event; the fifth anniversary party for London's West End musical Wicked.

Episode 13: Grand Final

The finalists must bake two of their own recipes for judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood and a party of invited friends and family.

A second series began on 11 November 2013 on CBBC.[1] Chef James Martin replaces Hollywood as judge in this series of Junior Bake Off.

Episode 13

In this episode the four finalists face the pressure of a professional kitchen, baking in one of the worlds most famous restaurants, Harrods, they must bake to the highest standards in order to impress Mary, James, Pastry Chef Marcus Bore and John Whaite.

The two teams have 1 hour 15 minutes to bake 15 Shortbread Tea Fancies and two types of Scones; 10 Fruit and 10 Plain.

Episode 14

In this episode the four finalists are put on the spot with the Knowledge test. The two teams must bake for the UK's biggest dance group, Diversity.
For the first part of the challenge, the bakers have been asked to showcase their style and skill by piping the words 'Bake Off' alongside a butterfly; they must try and identify the extra baking powder in Mary's Victoria sponge; and finally they have to identify the spices in the jars through the use of their smell.

Episode 15: Grand Final

In the final of the series, the four bakers go head-to-head for the very last time, they have to create their most spectacular bake to date. Using the skills that they have acquired, they have to make a selection of bakes, one sweet and one savoury, for a Mad Hatter's Tea Party.
