JustGive is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase charitable giving by connecting people with the charities and causes they care most about. It offers donors ways to give, provides nonprofits with the ability to collect donations online, and creates giving campaigns and systems for companies who want to incorporate social responsibility into their business model.

History

JustGive was founded in 1999 by Harvard graduate Kendall Webb and is based in San Francisco, California. JustGive was one of the first nonprofit organizations to channel the power of the Internet for online giving. Through a partnership with GuideStar, JustGive provides donors with access to nearly 2 million 501(c)(3) organizations. Since its start, JustGive has sent more than $400 million to over 70,000 charities working throughout the world.[1]

In November 2009, JustGive joined forces with I Do Foundation (a pioneer in wedding occasion giving) to better serve the charitable wedding sector. The I Do Foundation provides services to engaged couples, helping them celebrate generously on their special day through charitable wedding registries, donation favors, charitable attendant gifts, and gift registries. I Do Foundation has helped more than 75,000 couples send more than $6.5 million to charities, including Doctors Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross.[2]
