Justin Hache (born January 10, 1994) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the Springfield Falcons in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect for the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). Hache was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 7th round (208th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career

Hache was picked 8th overall by the Shawinigan Cataractes in the 2010 QMJHL Entry Draft,[1] and helped the Cataractes to capture the 2012 Memorial Cup.[2] On June 8, 2012, the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles acquired Hache from the Cataractes in exchange for a first round pick at the 2013 QMJHL Entry Draft.[3] Hache was recognized for his outstanding play during the 2013–14 season when he was awarded the Kevin Lowe Trophy as the league's best defensive defenceman[4] and was named to the 2013–14 QMJHL Second All-Star Team.[5]

On April 7, 2014, the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL) signed Hache to a three-year entry-level contract,[6] and on April 9, 2014 he made his professional debut with the Coyotes' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Portland Pirates, squaring off against the Manchester Monarchs.[7]
