Jyri Niemi (born June 15, 1990) is a Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing for HPK of the SM-liiga. Niemi was selected by the New York Islanders in the 3rd round (72nd overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
On May 17, 2013, HPK of the Finnish SM-liiga announced they had signed Niemi to play for the 2013–14 SM-liiga season.[1]
