K. N. T. Sastry is an Indian film critic, director and writer, known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, and few Kannada films. He has garnered six National Film Awards.[1][2] He has directed films such as Surabhi, Thilaadanam, Kamli, Snehanveshana, The Aliens, Harvesting Baby Girls, Snehe Geethe, and Sarasammana Samadhi.[3][4]
Sastry is an experienced Indian film critic. with more than thirty years of experience, Sastry always wanted to make films which have a striking a balance between art and Parallel Cinema. He was a jury member for many international film festivals. He served as chairman of critics Jury at National Film Awards and has served as a Jury Member for Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards.[5][6]
