KECA-LD Channel 29 is a low-power television station based in Eureka, California. It is owned by Bonten Media Group, which also owns KRCR-TV in Redding, KCVU-TV and KRVU-LD/KZVU-LD in Chico, California, and KAEF-TV in Eureka. The station broadcasts The CW Network on channel 29.1 and MyNetworkTV (via sister station KRVU-LD in Chico-Redding) on 29.2.
History
The CW Network first appeared in Eureka on KUVU-TV as a part of the Eureka Broadcast Group, which owned KVIQ (CBS) and several other stations with affiliations to FOX, UPN, MyNetworkTV and others. KUVU was dissolved and Bonten Media Group launched KECA for the Eureka market.
