KFRO-FM (95.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Top 40 (CHR) format, simulcasting KLJT in Tyler, Texas. Licensed to Gilmer, Texas, USA, the station serves the Lonvgiew-Marshall area. The station is currently owned by Waller Media, LLC and features programming from Hits Now! network and ABC News Radio.[1]
History
The station went on the air as KAEZ on 1986-12-05. On 1990-09-17, the station changed its call sign to KLSQ, on 1993-03-01 to the current KFRO, on 1998-12-07 to KCGL, and on 1999-02-15 to the current KFRO,[2] The station was KNIF before it was KAEZ, and was owned by Jack Daniels. He sold it to Rick Reynolds and the calls were changed to KAEZ.
