KIITFEST is a defining platform for the students and artists to showcase their skills and develop their potential. It is the first and the largest of its kind in east India and hopes to carve a niche for itself in the country. The fest is organized over 25 sq. km area campus accommodating 20 sprawling campuses. KIITFEST provides you an opportunity to let your imagination run wild and enjoy the extravaganza this march. It has workshops for the inquisitive minds, technical events to blow your mind, competitive debate, dance, drama and quizzing events for the artists and unwinding cultural shows for the freewheelers.

Events

The fest consists for several competitive events which are put into 7 different categories, namely, Beats and Bass, Bolts and Codes, Bills and Bulls, Quills and Questions,Palettes and Reels, Wardrobe and Wig, and, Fun and Frolic.

KIITFEST 2016 is going to be first of its kind to include a National Level Medical Quiz known as MasterMinds. KIITFEST is also going to witness a national level startup competition called Inception, in which the student start up from all over the country will come and present their ideas in front of the top corporate across the country.

Apart from these, there are various nationally acclaimed events like Open Sesame, Does Grey Matter etc.

KIITFEST 2016 will include workshops conducted by Nikon India and Bosco Caesar Dance Academy.

Pro Nites

The evenings are notable for the "Pro-Nights", more commonly known as Star-Nights — the biggest events in KIIT Fest which usually involve live concerts by some of the most famous musicians and bands of national and international acclaim. All the Star Nights are free to attend for any student of the institute and all registered participants. The genres of music are wide and varied and involve pop, rock and fusion bands. The venue for these events is the KIIT Student Activity Center (KSAC), Open Theatre Koncord Stage and KIIT Auditorium's which usually get packed to their full capacity during the Star-Nights, with crowds of up to 30,000 people. Famous Indian artistes like KK (singer), Karan Oberoi, Kunal Ganjawala, Ash King, Salim-Sulaiman have performed here.

The 2016 version of KIITFEST will feature Sunidhi Chauhan at the Star Night. Along with her, the DJ night will feature the famous DJ Kiran Kamath. Apart from them many other big names will feature on the star list of this year's fest.

Media and Publicity

KIIT FEST is notable for being one of the largest student events in the country. On 15th and 16th Feb. 2015, KIIT FEST was trending on top in Facebook with #kiitfest. Seventy Two Techno-Cultural Events with Sunburn Festival on day two and on day three Salim Sulaiman, Vipul Mehta, Shweta Pandit were the main attractions. The fest has attracted a large amount of coverage from the electronic and print-media. Numerous articles have appeared about KIIT FEST in various newspapers all over India.

KIITFEST 2016 has also started with a bang with its official facebook page beaming with likes and shares. It has already crossed the benchmark set the previous year and are on a way to create history.
